After several years of working in the furniture industry, my parents, John and Carol Brown opened up their own venture. In 1977, Brown's Furniture opened on the square in Orrville where Ming Hing restaurant is presently located. Five years later, they moved down the street to our present location of 138 West Market Street nearly doubling the store's size. Several expansions have occurred since that initial move. In 1992, we acquired the adjoining building and in 1997, we purchased the building directly across the street for our present Sleep Shop. We realized the need for a streamlined clearance area and in 2007, opened an additional 5,000 square feet of display area in the front of our warehouse on Main Street. We currently have a total display area of 40,000 square feet of quality home furnishings!
